Students can draw, paint or sketch their way toward a chance to win fabulous redwood prizes while learning about the tallest and some of the oldest and largest living beings on Earth. No fee is required to enter the contest.

GRADES K–3
  • 1st Prize: Tour of Muir Woods' Secret Places, Muir Woods National Monument. Value $125 (for 2 adults and 2 children)
  • 2nd Prize: Bag/pack filled with outdoor gear. Value: $95.
  • 3rd Prize: Telescope and a copy of Redwoods by Jason Chin; total value $37.
 
GRADES 4–8:
  • 1st Prize: Tour of the General Sherman Tree, Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park; value $225 (for 2 adults and 2 children).
  • 2nd Prize: Sporty backpack filled with outdoor gear; total value $95.
  • 3rd Prize: Telescope and a copy of Operation Redwood by S. Terrell French; total value $37.
 
GRADES 9–12:
  • 1st Prize: Astronomy from atop Moro Rock, Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park; value $225 (for 2 adults and 2 children).
  • 2nd Prize: Bag/pack filled with outdoor gear. Value: $95.
  • 3rd Prize: Telescope and a keepsake card stating that a redwood seedling was planted in winner's honor. Value: $70.
